As summer nears its end, hurricane season continues, and planting season begins. As we make our way towards cooler weather, we are excited to add out-planting back on the itinerary for our Saturday volunteer days. We hold off on out-planting during the hot and dry summer months so that young plants have a better chance at survival with abundant rain and shorter sunny days. The break from out-planting also gave our staff and hardworking volunteers a chance to do some much needed larger maintenance at our project sites and prepped new areas for out-planting.
