Watershed Management Services

Hui o Ko'olaupoko provides a variety of professional consulting services including community engagement and watershed management. The HOK team provides support to entities engaged in community-based natural resource restoration and management. This includes strategic planning, watershed plans, stakeholder engagement, project prioritization and on-the-ground restoration.

HOK conducts this work via a cost-recovery business model.  This allows HOK to offer services in-line with our mission at a lower cost, passing on the savings to the client.  HOK has field staff, but employs outside expertise for such help as engineering and hydrology to meet the needs of the client and project.  The three main service areas HOK can provide are:
  • Watershed Planning & Management
  • Low-Impact Development & Retrofits
  • Technical Consultation & Training

For information on securing our services, please contact Executive Director Kristen Nalani Mailheau via e-mail  or phone (808) 381-7202
