Did you know that throughout the Ko'olaupoko area (Makapu'u to Kualoa)
in Windward O'ahu, land-based pollution is a leading threat to stream
and ocean health? Many streams and beaches do not meet state and federal
standards for healthy water bodies. Because of the impact pollution
has on these significant natural resources, the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) identified the Ko'olaupoko area as a priority watershed
for monitoring, education, restoration and protection. Hui o Ko'olaupoko
actively works in all of these areas to improve watershed health. We’re asking you to make a tax-deductible contribution of $100, $50, $25 – or whatever you can afford – to help stop these threats and protect our natural resources.
Your support will help us continue to be one of the most effective
organizations working for ahupua'a restoration, education and monitoring
in the Ko'olaupoko area of Oahu.
In 2010, HOK has implemented the following:
Supporting Hui o Ko'olaupoko helps us work harder for the future keiki of Ko'olaupoko. Please join us to help shape a healthier future for our streams and bays. Your support will directly benefit your enjoyment and preservation of Ko'olaupoko's natural resources.
When you support us today, you will not only help us to improve the natural resources of Ko'olaupoko, you will receive our semi-annual newsletter, monthly notices about opportunities for volunteer projects and special invitations to other events. At the $25 level you will receive a Hui o Ko'olaupoko T-shirt to show your support of our organization If you prefer to send in your contribution by check, please
